Simple Hummus

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 c cooked chickpeas or 1 15 oz can, drained and rinsed

  • 2 T lemon juice

  • 1 t tahini

  • 1 clove of garlic, or 1/4 t garlic powder

  • dash of black pepper

  • 1/4 t ground cumin

Instructions:

  • Place all of the ingredients in a food processor and blend until very smooth. Add more liquid, if needed, to reach your desired consistency.

Recipe Notes:

Add ½ c roasted red peppers (water-soaked) to make a delicious Roasted Red Pepper Hummus.
